4. Clutch: The clutch will be checked for wear, and adjusted for proper release. If it is a hydraulically actuated clutch, an inspection of the system for fluid leaks and operation will be performed. On a cable operated clutch system, the condition and adjustment of the cable will be checked. The pedal should have about an inch to two inches of freeplay before engaging. No freeplay indicates a misadjusted clutch, which can result in premature wear. All adjustments will be made at the time of inspection.
